Everyone has their own opinion,but honestly,any of the water types are amazing. You can never go wrong when choosing squirtle,piplup,froakie,or even mudkip. It just depends if you have the game or not. All the starters have pros and cons, I just happen to think Empoleon's type gives it a huge edge. But hey, to each their own.
