How does jynx learn nasty plot

If it cares about getting walled by a dark type, Charge Beam - which is guaranteed very early on - is a solution. Jynx, on the other hand, desperately needs NP bred in order to have sweeping capability. I can see your point. In my experience I didn't need to use NP every fight. It just one shots stuff just the way it is. And of course I don't set it up against every opponent.

I really needed it against SwagSire from Terra because of it's hax stats. Obviously Alakazam has the more popular pull, and that always has a very good reason. I guess I'll wait for the game to open up the Saphira battle to open up to reclaim on Jynx popularity! That little type called "Ice" does make a lot of people turn their back at Jynx, since it essentialy gives her one extra resistance, nullifies the fighting resistance, and an extra 3 weakness.

Still, if it fits your team better than Alakazam Or other psychic types, for that matter , do it. Existing user? Login with Discord. Start new topic. Recommended Posts. Joltz Posted June 26, Posted June 26, Hi everyone, I'm a new Reborn player.

Let's look at my Jynx: Moveset: Nasty Plot I found my Jynx with this move which was like wooooot, but if for some reason your Smoochum doesn't have it, you can easily get it by getting a Croacrunk and leveling it a bit. PRO: It has super high speed. Without having to spend your nature on it. Yeah it's booya time. This is a great combo to overcome any bossfight. It absolutely destroyed 3 of the last 4 Gym Leaders.

TwistedSpoon and NeverMeltIce are really easy to get and early accessible. More punch!! Pokemon who jump in your lap are great. Early-ish obtainable in the game. I really started breeding and using mine after I had gotten the Ice Badge 6th Gym. CON: It probably has the most annoying sound effect when it enters the battle.

Use it too much and you get headaches. You have been warned! It's a bitch to breed. Smoochum can't breed so you have to level it to 30 to get a Jynx. Then you have to be careful not to let overleveling by the Daycare Lady overwrite your Nasty Plot move. Also you have to pair it with a Ditto or a Humanshape Type which makes producing eggs slower than putting two of the same Pokemon together.

It's also a bitch to train EV's. I did it at Pyrous Mountain for Sp. Atk which took a lot of swapping out. It's really fragile. Jynx is the queen of one shotting things. Weak to Ice or Psychic?

One Shot! Low Sp. Galarian Meowth. Galarian Slowbro. Galarian Mr. Mime Jr. Heat Rotom. Wash Rotom. Frost Rotom. Fan Rotom. Mow Rotom. Galarian Yamask. Tornadus Therian Forme.

Thundurus Therian Forme. Max Moves. G-Max Moves. Stat-Boosting Moves. Stat-Reducing Moves. Status-Inflicting Moves. Moves that Never Miss. Moves that Set Entry Hazards. Moves that Ignore Abilities. High-Critical Hit Moves. Moves that Change Weather. Moves that Change Terrain. Multi-Target Moves.

Moves that Restore HP. Redirection Moves. Multi-Hit Moves. The last slot is up to preference, as you can either use Lovely Kiss to help render a certain Pokemon useless on either set , or you can run Energy Ball on the Scarf set to hit Quagsire for more damage or a OHKO. Dream Eater works in conjunction with Lovely Kiss, but is rather gimmicky and depends on the opponent leaving in the sleeping Pokemon. Grass Knot is an alternative to Energy Ball, although Energy Ball's high power is more reliable than Grass Knot which depends on the weight of the opponent.

Hidden Powers can be used for additional coverage, although there isn't too much that Jynx doesn't already hit harder with other moves. Light Screen is sort of viable with Reflect on a gimmicky Dual Screens Jynx, but honestly Jynx is better going offensive than trying to fill any defensive roles. Magic Coat can work to help block non-attacking moves being used against Jynx, although Substitute fills this role better generally. Perish Song can force switch outs on Pokemon that Jynx doesn't want hanging around, and just generally prevent walls and checks from staying in forever.

Protect is outclassed by Substitute on Jynx to be honest, but can work decently in Doubles and Triples to help scout out your opponent's strategy. Reflect can be used in the same way as Light Screen, bolstering Jynx's extremely low Defense. Shadow Ball can be used for neutral coverage on quite a few Pokemon, although Jynx's movesets generally have something to handle the threats that Shadow Ball would hit.

Trick is viable on the Choice Scarf set as you can cripple some wall or sweeper by Tricking it a Scarf as it uses a boosting move, lays a hazard, etc. Jynx can be used to decent effect in Doubles and Triples, as it pairs very well with weather starters that cause Rain or Hail, and can also use Lovely Kiss to immobilize certain foes. Other than this, Jynx is still rather lackluster due to its low Defense and its weakness to common moves like Heat Wave and Rock Slide.

As mentioned previously, although many weather starters do not exist below UU, Jynx can pair well with those that set up Rain for Swift Swim, and works well with Snover, as STAB Blizzards coming off of Jynx's base Special Attack will leave a considerable dent in most anything. Anything that can take physical attacks well such as Tangrowth are excellent partners for Jynx due to its frailty.

Physical priority is Jynx's worst enemy, and as such many threats pop up. Basically any other Physical Attacker can get rid of Jynx pretty easily, and it definitely helps to be faster than it. Slowking can wall most Jynx sets into oblivion, although it does have to worry about Energy Ball or becoming Lovely Kiss bait. Moltres is an additional check, although it does have to worry about Lovely Kiss and boosted Ice Beams. If you really want to use Smoochum in LC, then your best option it to slap a choice item and hope for the best.

She has great Special Attack and Speed, and a somewhat usable movepool. Conversely, HP Fighting gives you greater neutral coverage and some super effective damage against Dark and Normal types. The option between Trick and Shadow Ball is tricky in itself; Trick can cripple set up Pokemon into being locked into one move while possibly gaining Eviolite in return, or you could opt for more coverage against Ghost types such as Misdreavus, Duskull, and Frillish, hitting them for super effective damage.
