This requires you to enter Harbor Town before joining the order. If you are caught by any of the order members before entering Harbor Town and are forced to go to the monastery you can only become a warrior not a mage. Once in Harbor Town find Master Belshwur and complete all of his available missions and he will give you his recommendation. Soon after a guard should direct you to go see Commandant Carlos, he will ask you for your help in clearing Harbor Town of the Don's Men.

Complete the mission Peace and Order and any other missions he has for you and he should give you his recommendation. Once both recommendations are obtained make your way to the monastery. Once inside Master Pallas will give you the choice of becoming a mage or a warrior, choose mage. The mission itself becomes available from Master Ignatius after completing all of the tests for the order.

The mission is available in chapter one and it's labled as the "First Seal of Rune Magic". Each new seal quest is unlocked after learning a level in seal magic.

Each level requires 5 level points and require a different level of wisdom.
