Can you drive on pensacola beach
Can you stay at a hotel farther from the beach and still drive to the beach and find a place to park? Sure you can. There's public beaches and parking all across the island including Casino Beach at the pier and the "beach ball" located at the intersection of Ft Pickens Road and Via de Luna.
Availability depends on the time of day, the day of the week, and the time of year. There's also 7 miles of undeveloped seashore between Pensacola Beach and Navarre with several parking areas as well as Ft Pickens at the western end of the island there's an admission charge Ft Pickens. Public beaches at Navarre Beach , too, just miles from Pensacola Beach along route which is a beautiful drive.
Tons of parking - but, again, it depends on the day weekends are the worst for finding a place to park. From pensacola to navarre there are many places to walk to the beach including the state park. Enjoy your stay. That way you avoid having to cross the bay bridge from Pensacola. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.

Her main concern, she said, is these unattended supplies would trap nesting sea turtles at night, as they have on other beaches.
Attention about the problem — on Facebook and other media coverage — spurred an outcry among the beach advocates group and other residents who asked for something to be done, including adopting a ordinance to address the problems. Zemenick, a self-professed beach lover, said she had no idea her concerns for the beach would result in positive action. I am very happy to see the SRIA being proactive. They are definitely on the right track about approaching people with a friendly smile and just sharing our problem and asking them to help us.
Terry Preston, president of the Advocates, equally was impressed with the Island Authority's action but she's worried more will need to be done. I'd love to think that's all that we have to do, but I doubt it.
I think we'll end up having an ordinance. Board member Thomas Campanella, who spoke out against adopting an ordinance regarding beach tents a few weeks ago, said the education is the way to go "before you pounce on them.
It's a safety issue. This friendly rules approach will be tried out for one year, and if that fails to corral dogs running the beach outside of the two designated dog parks and spur visitors to pack up beach supplies each night, Lee said as a last resort the board would ask Escambia County Commissioners to adopt an ordinance to give more teeth to the rules.

The good news is that there are paved parking where you get out of your car and walk over a boardwalk to the beach. Gulf Islands National Seashore at Ft. Pickens is a great place to spend the day and have a picnic. Take your own food and drink into the park because there isn't anything there after the last storm to buy. Thank you for such an amazing read. Some of the best info I have been able to find on the net.
My question, maybe you can help me. I plan to dabble in the outlander life and purchase a roof top tent for my Wrangler. Do you know of any Florida beaches that allows overnight parking on the sand?
Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I would appreciate any information you can give me regarding driving down Florida's Gulf Coast from Pensacola to Marco Island. I am particularly interested in the beaches. Also, could you please tell me if there is such a thing as beach parking passes?
Since I am female, I would especially be interested in communicating with Bonnie. Thank You!! Your only problem with beaches on this drive will be choosing among them! The very best beaches in the state are in the Panhandle. Grayton Beach was recently named the bt beach in America and we loved St. George Island and Apalachicola. After you make the curve around the Panhandle, you come to a section of the Gulf Coast without beaches, where the shoreline is largely mangroves and is less developed.
Your next great beach area is the Clearwater area, where we love two beaches where you walk on the beach for miles and get away. These are Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island.
From there until the Everglades, the Gulf beaches are fantasic.
